Vandersanden wants to play a meaningful and inspirational role in that environment, a role that unites. Yes, we produce facing bricks and façade systems, pavers, and brick slips in all shapes and sizes – but what we really do is shape the physical and psychological living environment. Vandersanden is a family-run company and one of Europe’s largest producers of bricks. We produce facing bricks, pavers, and brick slips and provide solutions for façades and streetscapes.
Our motivations are craftsmanship, co-creation, being innovative, and sustainability. We interact closely with designers, developers, and construction companies to identify solutions that inspire and unite and that enhance and safeguard collective well-being. This is a major social responsibility that helps us to contribute to an environment that people want to be a part of. We don’t create functionality – street, square, façade, pavement, garden – but facilitate liveability.

As a part of society, Vandersanden wants to contribute to people’s happiness. Our economic growth and financial gain are not goals in themselves. Profit is merely a means of realising our goal of making an essential contribution to the well-being of employees, customers, society, and the environment. Academy
Sharing expertise helps everyone. Vandersanden is always eager to share expertise and skills with architects, developers, contractors, suppliers, students, users, and other interested parties. By doing this, we are forming an ‘expertise community’ where professionals can inspire one another, and jointly, we can further strengthen our field.
Site visit
Vandersanden is at the heart of the community, literally and figuratively. We would be happy to show you what we do, and how we do it. We organise regular educational tours of our plants in Bilzen and Maasmechelen (Belgium) and Tolkamer (The Netherlands).
